Chapter 2... I think... It's short

Chapter 2
Wynn and Roan stopped at the gates of Aeden. They saw a tall man, looking sternly at the pair.
“Who are you?” he asked.
“We are centaurs from outside the city. I must take my son to one of your scholars for he stutters. I have heard that there is a man in your city that can help him… Please let us in… we will not be long.” Wynn said submissively.
The guard looked at her and then at Roan. He sighed and opened the gate of the city. Roan looked up at the guard. He had never seen a man before. The guard was tall and muscular, with dark black hair and a cruel weapon in his hand. Roan gulped. He hoped all humans were not like this. Wynn grabbed his hand and the two walked into the city.
The first thing Roan noticed was how busy the city was. He gasped at how many of these humans there were and how different they all were. They all wore strange coverings on their bodies. Some carried baskets full of food while others carried what Roan later learned was pottery. A young child threw a ball that hit him in the side, causing him to whinny loudly. Everyone stopped their activity and looked at the two centaurs in amazement. Wynn sighed and grabbed her son’s hand.
“Come, Roan. Stay near me…”
Roan nodded and walked with his mother through the streets. She took him down an alley where there was a small home. She knocked on the door and an older man came out.
“Demosthenes…” Wynn began. “Please help my son…”
The old man smiled and pulled out a bag.
“Put these pebbles in your mouth, and speak with them… do not stop doing this until a month has passed…” He said.
Roan cocked his head. He had no idea why this man was having him do this, but the man was obviously a scholar. Wynn thanked Demosthenes and left with her son. When they finally got outside the gate, she handed him the bag of pebbles.
“Now do as he told you. Then maybe the other foals will not laugh.” She said.
Roan nodded. He stuck the pebbles in him mouth.
“Mm-ma! Th-they tasth sthrange!” he said.
That’s because you’ve never had pebbles in your mouth…” she smiled.
The two began the walk back to the shelter of their cave.

Chapter 1

Chapter 1
Wynn stood on the hill overlooking Aeden. The city was beautiful from far away. Of course, Wynn had never been there. Centaurs were not common visitors to Aeden. She smiled at the thought of her unborn son being able to wake up to the beautiful view of the city.
Wynn was a young, cream mare with a dark mane and tail. She was the daughter of a chief of the tribe of Centaurs that lived near Aeden. As a filly, she was playful and known to often get into trouble. Now, she was calmer and more refined, like her mother had trained her to be.
She heard footsteps behind her and felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked to see a large, strong stallion. His black fur shone in the sun.
“How are you feeling Wynn?” he asked.
“I am alright, Ariul…” she smiled. “It won’t be long now…”
Ariul and Wynn had met the previous summer. Ariul was an orphan and had been raised by a faun. When the two met, the chief elder, Chiron, said that their union was blessed by the gods. Now, Wynn was going to have her first son. She smiled at her mate and then looked back at the city.
“Will he be safe with the humans so close?”
“Of course… humans don’t attack Centaurs… He will be fine, Wynn.” Ariul replied. “Our son will grow big and strong and when he is older, he will find a mare to bear his child and carry on the family name.”
Wynn smiled. She nuzzled her mate and the two headed back to their cave. It was dark inside, but Wynn took solace in knowing that her mate was close by. The two lay side by side, keeping each other warm during the night.
The silence of the night was disturbed by a wail of pain from Wynn.
“Ariul! It’s happening!” She cried out.
Ariul sprung to his hooves and galloped out of the cave to the midwife’s cave. They quickly returned and, after a long amount of time, Roan was born. Wynn held her son, smoothing his black fur and stroking his blond hair. His blue eyes opened and he looked up at his mother. She smiled and then looked at her mate.
“He’s beautiful,” Wynn whispered.
“Yes he is…” Ariul responded. “And he will grow up to be a fine stallion one day… perhaps a warrior for the humans…”
Wynn smiled. Perhaps the humans would take in her son when he was old enough… after all, Chiron had been a scholar for the humans and had even fought a war for them.
The family stayed huddled in the warmth of the cave as the night grew still once more.
The next morning was a busy one for the colt. He was to be presented to Chiron to be named. Wynn and Ariul led him to the elder centaur as the little colt played with a flower that had momentarily distracted him. The flower brushed the top of his head, sprinkling its red pollen into his hair.
“Son!” Wynn exclaimed when she saw his now red streaked hair.
It was too late to clean him up again. Chiron was already waiting for them at his tent. He smiled and squinted at the little centaur. His vision was very poor so instead of seeing a small, black centaur with pale skin and blond hair that had been colored by pollen, he saw a red blur that looked like a centaur.
“I have never seen a colt that was so red as your son…” Chiron said with a smile. “His name shall be Roan…”
Wynn and Ariul looked at each other.
“I can see troubling times ahead for your son… but he shall be protected, for he was chosen by the gods… I see a bull over him and a sheep with him… his guardians in this life… Perhaps even his teachers…” Chiron said.
“Why is he chosen?” Wynn asked.
“I do not know… I just know that he is important…” Chiron said.
Wynn and Ariul looked down at their son who was currently nibbling on the flower he was once holding. This was the colt that was chosen by the gods?
The next week was when Roan was to start his education under Andrea, a very strict, older centaur. She had lost her mate years back in a storm and was still bitter from it. She held her classes in an olive grove not too far from the city. Roan joined the other young centaurs in his class. They were already talking and laughing with each other. The moment they all saw him, they could tell he was different. He wasn’t talking to anyone and he seemed to be very shy.
“Roan, take your seat next to Sassacus,” Andrea snapped.
Roan looked around to see a red colt. The colt waved his hand and Roan walked over cautiously.
“Hi! I’m Sassacus… You must be Roan.”
Roan looked down at his hooves. He nodded quickly. Sassacus cocked his head.
“What’s the matter? Don’t you talk?” He asked.
Roan shook his head.
“But everything talks!” Sassacus said.
“Settle down, students,” Andrea snapped, causing all of the young centaurs to snap to attention. “Now I want you all to introduce yourselves to the class!”
Roan’s eyes widened. Sassacus stood up.
“My name is Sassacus. I have a big brother who fights wars for the humans and a sister who lives in the city and weaves tapestries!” the colt exclaimed.
“Very good. Next.” Andrea said.
Roan looked around. He was next. But he knew he didn’t want to talk to the other foals. He shook his head.
“Roan, introduce yourself to the class.” Andrea said, growing impatient.
“He can’t speak, ma’am,” Sassacus said.
“Nonsense! All creatures can speak. Even the rocks speak at times… Now tell us who you are.”
Roan gulped and rose.
“M-m-my n-name is-s R-roan…” He stuttered. “I w-w-w-w-was ch-chosen b-by the g-g-g-g-gods-s…”
The foals erupted in laughter. Roan began to cry and ran out of the olive grove. He could still hear the taunts of the others.
“He talks funny!”
“How could he be chosen by the gods?”
“C-c-come b-b-b-back, freak!”
Roan ran all of the way to his cave, tears streaming down his cheeks. Wynn was sitting in the cave and was there to greet him.
“Roan, what’s wrong?” She asked.
“Th-th-the other f-f-f-f-foals l-laughed at m-m-m-m-me…” He sobbed.
Wynn immediately knew the problem. She sighed.
“My son… do not feel bad that they laugh… some of the greatest human scholars have stuttered…” She whispered. “You were chosen by the gods… there is nothing that those children can say or do to hurt you anymore…”
Roan looked up at her. He shook his head.
“I d-don’t w-w-w-want to g-go to s-s-sc-school any m-more…”
Wynn sighed. She held her son close.
“I know that you don’t… you know what I’ll do.. I’ll take you to see someone who can help you speak… Then you won’t have to worry about the other foals laughing at you.”
Roan smiled and nodded. Wynn took his hand.
“Follow me, for we have to go to the City.” Wynn said.
Roan followed his mother as they ran to the city in full gallop.

So I'm writing kind of a fantasy story... Here's the first chapter

Prologue
Roan stood alone on a cliff overlooking the sea. His black fur was graying now and his gait had become much slower than it used to be. He looked out with weak eyes at the ocean. The sun was just setting and soon, another night would begin. Another night for him to be alone.
He had not see Jeshua in years now. He longed for his companion more than anything. His blond hair blew into his face causing the centaur to brush it away. He sighed. Jeshua wasn’t going to come back. He had to face that reality. He would growold and die before he saw the bull again.
Just then, he heard a noise. He spun around, hoping to see Jeshua. Instead, he just saw a faun approach him.
“Still waiting for him, ‘eh Roan?” the faun replied.
This was Petros, a Suffolk faun. Unlike the goat fauns, his horns were like that of a ram’s. His black legs were also graying and his once brown hair was now grey and disappearing. He smiled sadly at Roan.
“I miss him too… but he said he was coming back…”
“He’s not going to come back, Petros…” Roan said bitterly. “It’s been over one hundred years… he will never come back…”
Petros sighed. He patted his friend on the back.
“I know that he’ll come back. I know that you’ll see him again…”
“And you know that you’ll see Kiara again,” Roan mocked. “Face it, Petros… She’s dead… You won’t see her again. She was killed by all of Kiernan’s friends… we’re all that’s left…” Roan wept bitterly.
Petros sighed again and looked out over the ocean. The evening star had just appeared…

More of Biped the Musical

The Lonely Biped looks around... suddenly, a quadroped (possibly a sauropod dinosaur or an ankylosaurid dinosaur of some sort) enters. The Lonely Moped is frightened, but the clumsy quadroped smiles.

Clumsy Quadroped- By Karli Martin and Keith Moon

I'm just a clumsy quadroped
You need not be afraid.
I'm just a clumsy quadroped
See how my legs are splayed.
I have four legs
I have four feet
And I can't run away
But if you are
Lonely old chum,
I'll be your friend today.

The Lonely Moped is no longer lonely. He smiles and is about to shake the Clumsy Quadroped's foot when all of a sudden, Velociraptor enters, chasing a few bipeds. The bipeds are frightened because they fear one of them will be eaten...

Velociraptor- by Karli Martin and Keith Moon

Velociraptor!
Velociraptor!
I am a Velociraptor!
Velociraptor!
Velociraptor!
I will eat you all!
Velociraptor!
Velociraptor!
Don't try to run away Bipeds!
I'm a Velociraptor!
(Velociraptor screeches and exits after the terrified Bipeds)

The Lonely Moped and The Clumsy Quadroped look at each other. They know that they need to save the bipeds, even though the bipeds are so mean to them

More to come!

Biped, The musical

I have decided that I need to make a musical... one with meaning... So I have started writing the script for it... I just need someone to help with the scoring (at some point, I will sing the songs out accapella so that anyone who wants to help score it can at least hear the tune...)

The musical is Biped, the Musical... It is basically about a lonely moped, shunned by the bipeds, that makes friends with a quadroped and an octoped and ultimately saves the bipeds from the evil Velociraptor... He may die but I haven't gotten that far...

HEre are the lyrics for the first two songs... by tonight, I should have the first two songs recorded accapella for anyone who wants to help... just don't take the lyrics or use them without permission...

Biped: the Musical!

(Oh, by the way, the spirit of Keith Moon touched me as I wrote these songs so he is credited as a coauthor... continue)

The lights come up on a group of bipedal hominids (or maybe they are bipedal dinosaurs) are onstage. They proceed to dance as a trumpet flourish announces that:

The Biped Song
By Karli Martin and Keith Moon

We… are…
Just a couple of bipeds
Living in a bipedal world.
We’ve got two legs
We’ve got two feet
And we’re living in a bipedal world!

We can wear pants
We wear a pair of shoes
We can do the splits
And we never sing the blues
‘Cause we’re just a couple of bipeds,
Living in a bipedal world!

We can tap dance
We can skip around
Where one leg is
The other one will be found
‘Cause we’re just a couple of bipeds
Living in a bipedal world!

Dance Break

Oh…
We… Are…
Just a couple of Bipeds
Living in a bipedal world!
We’ve got two legs
We’ve got two feet
And We’re Living in a bipedal world.

We’re living
(yes we’re living)
Oh we’re living!
(Yes we are living)
We are living
In a bipedal world!

Suddenly, the Lonely Moped enters, hopping, as most mopeds do. He is a monopedal humanoid... probably... maybe some kind of hadrosaurid dinosaur. The other bipeds scatter at the sight of him. A single spot light shines on him and he mounrfully sings accapella:

The Moped Song
By Karli Martin and Keith Moon

I'm just a lonely moped,
living in a bipedal world
I've got one leg
I've got one foot
And I'm living in a bipedal world

I cannot dance
I cannot skip
They won't let me play games
Or come along on their trip
Cause I'm just a lonely moped
Living in a bipedal world

I don't want to be a lonely moped
Living in a bipedal world
I'm living
Don't want to be living
Why am I living
In a bipedal world?

Some Comics

I think that I'm going to post some of my personal favorites out of my comics (along with the twisted ideas behind them...)... since my site isn't up yet.

I've done this with creamies... I tend to believe everything they say...

Once, a friend told me how he tried to put a car battery into a campfire but got caught... I told him that he should've tied a fuse to it so that he could watch from a safe distance and still not get caught until it was too late... I'm such a good role model...

This happened to my mom on our game drive in Zambia... except that the buffalo didn't decide to wear the coat... it was just pretty scary thinking of how to get it back from the herd of cows with calves... luckily, they were scared of the guide on our drive so they let him get it...
